Why 'just delegate it' is easier said, than done.

Ever told yourself, "I'll just do it myself...it's faster." If so, you're not alone.

You're got too much on your plate.

You're exhausted and overhwhelmed.

You're putting out fires.

You're doing ALL the WORK (including work that your team should be doing).

You know, you need to delegate.
But deep down, something holds you back.

Because if you delegate and something goes wrong,

  • you're the one fixining it.

  • you're the one who looks bad.

  • you're the failure.

PLUS (you tell yourself) delegating tasks takes even more time.

Time explaining it, following up, fixing mistakes.

So you just keep doing it yourself.

But that only guarantees you'll keep repeating the same time-sucking cycle.

Here's the thing.
Delegation isn't only a skill issue. It's a mindset one.

The inability to delegate often stems from something deeper:

  • a need to prove your worth

  • a need of 'going it alone'

  • a desire to do the task right

Instead of jumping right to "how to" delegate, ask yourself: What if my goal is not only to get it done - but to lead with vision?

What if I allow room for learning, even mistakes - to help grow my people?

What if letting go gives me the space - to think strategically?

True delegation doesn't start with a checklist.

It starts with mindset.

Your Turn to consider:
What's really stopping you from delegating?
